Christi Warthan

Managing Partner

Christi Dangerfield Warthan is a hometown girl, born and raised here. She graduated from Hanahan High, then went on to receive a BMA in Management from Charleston Southern
University and a MS in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University.

Christi’s passion is helping the youth of our area. This intense need to teach  drivers training came from nearly losing her own child in a horrific accident when they were just 16. She knew she could provide a service that would help prevent other families from ever having that same painful experience. She spends her days pouring into her staff and students a great devotion and joy for the path she has chosen!

Miss Maple

Director of Emotional Support

Miss Maple is our resident Diva! She is here to bring joy and sunshine to all of us everyday with her sweet hugs and snuggles! So when our students are nervous...they come get some love from Miss Maple and make it all better!

Carl Makins

Driving Instructor

Carl is the newest addition to our incredible team! He is still an active member of a local law enforcement team and bomb squad (which means he has nerves of steel)!

The rest of his personal bio will be available soon!

Ed Maskowsky

Driving Instructor

I am originally from Connecticut and spent most of my life there, until 4 years ago! My wife and I decided to move south to sunny South Carolina so we could enjoy the nice weather and experience the southern culture and the amazing food. I attended Johnson & Wales in RI because food is one of my passions. I worked in the food industry for quite a few years; even owned a deli. Eventually, I changed career paths and became an owner/operator of a delivery service. Driving was another one of my passions, so when 843LetsDrive crossed my path with an opportunity to teach people the skills they would need to drive safely, I jumped at the chance. I'm truly a "people person" and enjoy sharing my knowledge and making driving a fun experience. As I say to all of my students, "work smarter, not harder".

Heather & Jen

These two ladies are the best of the best at what they do! They are able to answer all of your questions and "steer" you in the right direction every time!  When you call 843LetsDrive and you hear a welcoming smile and hello on the line, you can rest assure you are in very capable hands! Our amazing team of instructors and Miss Christi would be absolutely lost without Heather and Jen!

Kim Martin

Driving Instructor

Originally from West Virginia, Kim decided to trade one Charleston area for another relocating her family here in 2015. She attended school, studying Medical Business and worked within the medical field for several years. Shortly after moving, Kim felt that she needed a change of pace, and becoming a driving instructor has been just that! When she isn't working. You can more than likely find her cheering on one of her two sons at a sporting event, or enjoying one of her favorite pastimes of photography. While she may have given up the mountains for beaches, you can always count on her to be rooting for the West Virginia Mountaineers at any college sporting event.

Kyle Johnson

Driving Instructor

Hello, my name is Kyle. I'm 33 years old, and I'm originally from Bigfork, Minnesota. I grew up playing sports and traveling with my family as an Air Force kid. I served as active duty in the Army for almost 12 years and have now been medically retired for little over a year now. With my lovely wife of nine years, we have traveled extensively through my military service and have two rescue dogs named Frankie and Louie. Together with my wife, we enjoy traveling, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with our closest friends and family. I enjoy woodworking, golfing, hunting, and riding my motorcycle in my spare time. I have been here at 843 Let's drive since last August, and it has been a wonderful experience, I enjoy helping my students learn to drive.
